Play as a novice mage on her way to becoming a full-fledged mage

Witchroid Vania: A Magical Girl’s Fantastical Adventures, made by the indie developer Turkey Games for PC and console, is an action game where players step into the shoes of a young mage-in-training named Lily in her pursuit of becoming a full-fledged mage

Witchroid Vania: A Magical Girl’s Fantastical Adventures delivers a combat-filled adventure with side-scrolling and hack-and-slash mechanics featuring JRPG elements. This Metroidvania title is visualized in 2D and pixel graphics, exploring fantastical and magical themes and providing a nostalgic yet fresh visual experience that captures the essence of classic adventure games

Journey of a young magic-wielder

The narrative of Witchroid Vania: A Magical Girl’s Fantastical Adventures follows young Lily, a girl with a dream of becoming a full-fledged mage, on her journey as she traverses a world filled with secrets and uncovers her true potential. Play as Lily and embark on a fun yet challenging adventure as you discover the secrets of the world and become a full-fledged mage.

Set outside Lily’s hometown, this expansive world is the home to various places, including East Village, Oak Forest, Hidden Cave, Dragon Ridge, Zalam Kingdom, and more. These places house some of the most dangerous monsters and villains, such as the orc lords, assassins, sirens, and wicked dragons, which you must defeat one way or another in your journey at some point.

Do not fret. Although you are a novice mage, you can harness the power of the four elements: Fire, ice, wind, and lightning, each with strengths and weaknesses. You can pair it with support magic that can give you various abilities, like breathing underwater and sacrificing HP to recover MP. However, it does have minor elements to work on, like the large HUD and the non-functioning windowed launch option

Action-packed magical adventure

Witchroid Vania: A Magical Girl’s Fantastical Adventures offers an exciting, action-packed journey filled with magic, exploration, and challenging combat. As Lily, players uncover secrets, master elemental powers, and face powerful enemies in a richly designed world. Despite minor issues like the large HUD and non-functional windowed mode, the game captures the essence of classic adventure titles while delivering a fresh experience for fans of Metroidvania and JRPGs.
